Certain models of Dapper Lighting headlights use a full-projector design. Due to optical constraints, for optimal performance the lights are required to be a certain overall depth. This can cause fitment interference on certain vehicles. Some customers have found workarounds or modifications to make them fit. - Camaro: 1967-1978 - the OE7 may require enlargement of headlight bucket hole. On hidden headlight setups, the aftermarket electric kit is highly recommended as it moves the unit lower and out of the way.
- Chevelle: 2-Headlight models: the OE7 may require enlargement of headlight bucket hole
- Corvette: C1: 4-Headlight models will require extended headlight buckets or custom modification. 2-Headlight models will require modification. C2: Requires heavy modification for 575 headlight.
- Impala: Early models (≈1961-1962) may have limited depth for 575 model (has not been confirmed).
- Nova: Early models (≈1964-1965) may have limited depth for the LED Seven headlight. The OE7 may require enlargement of headlight bucket hole
