Halo Options

What is a halo? Halo’s were a term used to describe LED “rings” around projector lights, first popularized by BMWs in the 1990s. They have since evolved into different shapes and styles, and they are sometimes referred to as DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).

Because Dapper Lighting custom-builds lights, we are able to offer a number of different halo styles, or no halo if you’re going for a more discreet look. However, adding LED halos can often bring a whole new look and intensity to the front of a car, not to mention the extra benefit of safety by being seen by other drivers.
The halos that Dapper Lighting offers are all LED, and use 1 amp of power or less. This is very little power consumption but a big effect!

“Switchback” halos are a type of halo that has a built-in Turn Signal mode. When correctly wired, they will automatically detect the turn signal input, switch to a blinking amber, and then back to the main setting when the Turn Signal is disengaged. This is incredibly useful when deleting any of the factory lights, or simply adding a ton of safety and visibility to the dim, original system.
