Choosing Your Headlights
Find the right size, setup, and parts for your car.
Which Headlights Fit My Car?
Start with our Year, Make, and Model search. OE7 and LED Seven fit 7 inch round openings, 575 LED fits 5.75 inch round openings, and FourSix LED fits 4 × 6 inch rectangular openings. Each product page includes fitment details. Send us your vehicle information if you would like help choosing.
Are Headlights Sold Individually?
Yes. Headlights are sold individually. The listed price is for one headlight.
Which Headlights Do You Recommend for a New Build?
We recommend our 2.0 LED headlights. The LED light source and projector are designed together to put useful light on the road. Choose the size that fits your car, then select your housing finish, glass, and halo options.
What Options Can I Choose for My Headlights?
Start with the size and beam type your car needs. Then choose your housing finish, clear or fluted glass, and halo style, or select no halo. Our four halo types are HDR, RGB, Classic, and Modern.
The videos below show the glass, housing, and halo choices so you can compare the look. Housing finish and clear versus fluted glass do not change the light output.
Glass Options

Watch Halo Styles on YouTubeWhat Do Low Beam, High Beam, and Low/High Beam Mean?
Low beam is your normal night driving setting. High beam is your “brights.” A Low/High Beam headlight does both. A High Beam Only headlight comes on only with the brights. A Low Beam Only headlight provides low beam only. For all four headlights to work on both settings, choose four compatible Low/High Beam LED headlights and our H4 splitter cables.
What Else Do I Need to Order With My Headlights?
Your headlights include their LED drivers. If you choose halos, the halo driver boxes are included too.
If you choose RGB halos, also select a Bluetooth or handheld remote controller. The other halo styles do not need an RGB controller.
If your car has four headlights and you want all four compatible Low/High Beam headlights on in both settings, add our H4 splitter cables.
Will the Headlights Fit My Existing Mounts?
Our headlights are designed for the original headlight mounting location. The bucket is the metal holder behind the light. Check the product’s depth against the space in that bucket. For 1973 to 1981 GM trucks, Blazers, Camaros, Firebirds, and Novas, we recommend LED Seven instead of OE7.
What Is the Difference Between OE7 and LED Seven?
Can I Keep the Original Look Without Halos?
Yes. Choose the option without a halo for a clean, original look. Fluted glass has the patterned appearance of an original headlight. Clear glass shows more of the projector inside. Both provide the same light output.
Does Housing Finish or Glass Style Affect Light Output?
No. The light comes from the projector, the unit inside the headlight that forms the beam. Housing color does not affect that output. Clear and fluted (patterned) glass also provide the same light output. Choose the color and glass style you like.
Do I Need to Buy Bulbs for an LED Headlight?
No. Our 2.0 headlights include the LED light source. You do not need to buy a separate headlight bulb.
Is Installing an LED Bulb the Same as Replacing the Headlight?
No. A bulb conversion replaces only the bulb inside an existing headlight. A complete LED headlight replaces the whole lamp, including the parts that focus the light onto the road. With Dapper, those parts are designed to work with the LED. A replacement LED bulb fitting an old socket does not mean it will produce a good beam in that headlight.
Where Can I See Low and High Beam Photos?
Can I Buy Just One Replacement Headlight?
Yes. Send your original order number or a photo and we will help match the size, appearance, and features of your existing headlight. Let us know whether it is a 1.0 or 2.0 light if you know.
Can I Replace the Glass or the LED Inside My Headlight?
Replacement glass is available for LED Seven 2.0, OE7, and 575 2.0 headlights with a removable retaining ring. That glass does not fit 1.0 headlights with permanently bonded glass. We can also help identify replacement LED and projector parts. Send your order number or a photo so we can match the part. Contact us before opening a light under warranty.
Why Choose Dapper?
Our headlights are hand built in the USA with real glass lenses and projectors designed to focus light onto the road. Our team helps you choose the right lights and supports you through installation and ownership. All Dapper Lighting products carry a 5 year warranty.
Installation and Wiring
Know what connects where before you start.
Are the Headlights Plug and Play?
Yes. Our 2.0 headlights are designed to be plug and play.
Where Can I Find Installation Videos?
We recommend our video wiring guides. Start with the video for your headlights or halo style. If you have RGB halos, use the wiring video for your Bluetooth or handheld remote controller. Contact us for help with a 1.0 setup that differs from the video.
Classic Halo Wiring
Watch Classic Halo Wiring on YouTubeDo I Need a Relay Harness?
Our 2.0 LED headlights are designed to run on factory wiring without an added relay harness when the wiring and connections are in good condition. A relay harness uses the headlight switch to control power supplied directly from the battery. If your vehicle has damaged or modified wiring, our team can help you plan the repair.
Can All Four Headlights Run on Low and High Beam?
Yes. Use four compatible Low/High Beam LED headlights and our H4 splitter cables. Each splitter connects two headlights on one side of the car. The cables are sold as a pair. Follow our wiring video and secure the unused sockets. Do not use this setup with halogen, HID, or headlights that only provide high beam.
Do I Need an H4 Splitter or a 3 to 2 Pin Adapter?
Use our H4 splitter cables if you want all four compatible LED headlights to work on low and high beam. Use a 3 to 2 pin adapter when the factory two pin socket will not accept the headlight’s three pin plug and you want that headlight to stay on high beam only. You do not need both. Our comparison guide shows each setup.
Do 2.0 Headlights Need an External Control Box?
No separate main headlight control box is needed. The LED headlight drivers are built inline with the wiring.
All halos use a separate halo driver box, which is included with your halo headlights. If you have RGB halos, you also need a controller to select colors and effects.
Why Are the Mounting Tabs Oversized?
We leave extra material on some mounting tabs so you can fine tune the fit to your headlight bucket. You can always remove material, but you cannot add it back. Trim a little at a time for a secure fit. Adjusting these tabs does not void your warranty.
Halo Options and Controls
Choose a halo style and understand what comes with it.
What Are Halos, and What Styles Can I Choose?
A halo is the illuminated ring around the headlight. It is separate from the beam that lights the road. We offer four halo types: HDR, RGB, Classic, and Modern.
If you choose RGB halos, you can change their colors with a controller. Our halo options video shows the different styles. You can also order headlights without halos.
Do Halos Need a Driver or a Controller?
Every halo headlight includes the driver box that properly powers its halo. This applies to HDR, RGB, Classic, and Modern halos. You do not need to order the halo driver separately.
If you choose RGB halos, you also need to select a Bluetooth or handheld remote controller to change colors, brightness, and effects. The other halo styles do not need an RGB controller.
Can I Add RGB to HDR Halos?
No. Adding an RGB controller does not turn HDR halos into RGB halos. Choose RGB halos when ordering if you want to change colors.
What Is Switchback?
Switchback means the halo flashes amber with your turn signal, then returns to its normal setting.
If you have RGB halos, this feature is included with every Dapper RGB kit, including 1.0 and 2.0. Follow the wiring video for your controller to connect the turn signal function.
If I Choose RGB Halos, Which Controller Should I Choose?
If you choose RGB halos, select Bluetooth to control colors and effects from your phone with the Morimoto XBT app. Choose the standard controller if you prefer a handheld remote. Both controllers work with all Dapper RGB halo kits, including 1.0 and 2.0, and support the amber turn signal feature.
Which App Do I Use With RGB Halos and Bluetooth?
If you have RGB halos with our Bluetooth controller, use the Morimoto XBT app. Our Bluetooth setup video shows how to connect it. The handheld remote controller does not use an app.
Can My Halos Turn On Without the Headlights?
Yes. Halos have separate wiring, so they can operate with your parking lights or a separate switch. Our wiring videos show how to connect them and the amber turn signal function.
Can I Upgrade the Controller on My 1.0 RGB Kit?
Yes. If you have RGB halos from a 1.0 kit, either of our controllers will work with them. Keep the drivers that came with your halos and follow the wiring video for the controller you choose.
Tail Lights and LED Bulbs
Choose the correct assembly, board, bulb, and flasher.
Does a Tail Light Kit Include Housings and Lenses?
Our sequential LED tail light kits reuse your existing housings and lenses. Our billet tail lights are replacement assemblies with their own housings.
Can Sequential LED Tail Lights Flash Normally?
Yes. You can choose sequential or standard functionality. Sequential mode lights the turn signal in a moving pattern. Standard mode flashes the lights together.
Which Flasher Do You Recommend for LED Tail Lights?
We recommend our UFM10 electronic LED flasher when upgrading to LED tail lights. It keeps the turn signals flashing at a consistent rate. If your car uses separate flashers for the turn signals and hazard lights, replace both.
How Do I Choose Replacement LED Bulbs?
Use our Year, Make, and Model selector or contact us for help. If you are unsure which bulb you need, send the bulb number, clear photos, or both. Tell us where the bulb is used, such as a brake light, marker light, or reverse light.
Aiming and Troubleshooting
Start with the symptom and check one thing at a time.
Do I Need to Aim New Headlights?
Yes. Aim the headlights after installation. Our illustrated guide shows where to measure, where to place tape on the wall, and how to adjust the beams. Both lights can stay on while you adjust one at a time.
How Do I Aim a Car With Four Headlights?
Aim the headlights that provide low beam first. Then aim any separate high beam headlights so each bright center points straight ahead of its own lamp at the height of its lens center. Our illustrated guide shows the setup and wall marks.
Why Is the Beam Tilted or Moving Around?
The headlight may not be sitting squarely or securely in its holder. Worn mounting buckets, rings, springs, or adjustment screws can let it tilt or move. Fix that fit first, then aim the light. Turning an aiming screw will not correct a lamp that is mounted at an angle.
Why Is a Headlight Dim, Flickering, or Not Turning On?
With the power off, check for a loose plug or visible damage. Note whether one or both lights are affected and whether it happens on low beam, high beam, or both. Send us that information and photos before buying replacement parts. The problem may be in the vehicle wiring or the headlight; we can help narrow it down.
Why Won’t My Headlight Switch Back to Low Beam?
One possible cause is power feeding back through the vehicle wiring and keeping the high beam mechanism engaged, even after you select low beam. This is called backfeeding.
Contact us with your vehicle details, photos of the connections, and whether one or both headlights are affected. We can help you or your installer check the high beam circuit and identify the cause before replacing parts.
What Should I Do if My Halos Are Not Working Correctly?
Turn the power off and check the plugs between the halos, their driver boxes, and the power connection. Compare the connections with the wiring video for your halo style.
If you have RGB halos, also check the controller connections and confirm that the controller is turned on. If a halo stays dark or shows the wrong color, send us photos of the wiring and tell us which halo is affected.
What Should I Do if I See Fogging or Water Inside a Light?
Light fogging can be normal condensation caused by changes in temperature and humidity. Give it a few days to clear on its own.
If you see standing water inside the light, contact us for further guidance. Contact us as well if the fogging does not clear after a few days.
Ordering and Delivery
Understand build time, shipping time, and order changes.
When Will My Order Ship?
Your product page shows the expected build time. Shipping time begins once the finished order leaves us. Contact us with your order number for an update on an order you have already placed.
What Does “Built to Order” Mean?
We assemble your lights with the housing finish, glass, and halo options you selected, then test them before shipping. Your product page shows the expected build time.
Can You Meet My Show Date or Rush an Order?
Ask us before ordering if you need the lights by a specific date. Tell us the product, options, and deadline so we can confirm what is possible. Paying for faster shipping does not shorten the time needed to build the lights.
Can I Change or Cancel My Order?
Contact us promptly with your order number. We will check the build and shipping status, explain the available options, and confirm any cancellation charge before proceeding.
Warranty and Returns
Know your coverage and how to request help.
What Warranty Does My Product Have?
All Dapper Lighting products carry a 5 year warranty. Coverage includes defects in materials and workmanship. See our warranty policy for coverage and service details.
How Do I Start a Return or Warranty Request?
Sign into your Dapper Lighting account, open the order, and submit a request with photos and a description. Wait for approval and instructions before shipping anything. Contact us if you cannot find the order.
Can I Return Lights If I Change My Mind?
Yes. Request a return or exchange within 30 days of delivery. Products must be in new, resalable condition. Approved returns for a change of mind have one 15% restocking fee, with no separate processing fee. Return shipping is your responsibility. Lights with trimmed mounting tabs cannot be returned, but trimming the tabs does not void the warranty.
Can I Repair a Headlight Myself Under Warranty?
Contact us before opening the light. Reassembling it yourself removes future sealing and moisture coverage, but does not automatically cancel other warranty coverage. Return the complete light to us if you want sealing coverage preserved.
How Will You Resolve a Warranty Claim?
We will repair the light, replace the affected component, or replace the assembly as appropriate. Our team will explain the service plan after reviewing the issue.
Who Pays for Warranty Return Shipping?
For approved claims within 120 days of delivery, we provide a return label. After that, you pay shipping to us. The warranty period stays the same.
