1956 Mercedes 190sl

I chose the OE7 for my classic Mercedes and couldn't be happier. The lights are of beautiful quality, and easily fit in the stock buckets without modification. I replaced all the my hardware with allen head bolts so adjusting them was easier. The light output is superb. The cutoff is perfect and reminds me of the H4 lights in my other Mercedes cars. They look perfect in the car, and at a recent show, no one even noticed that they weren't stock.

MGB owners, look no further...

These lights transform night driving in our MGB. The beam pattern is super-accurate and the illumination ahead is superb, with a very natural white light. Earlier attempts to use LED bulbs in original H4 units were disappointing, as well as illegal. But these Dapper units are aesthetically bang on, and meet legal requirements in our territory. I doubt that there is another product that matches the OE7 for performance and authenticity. MGB owners should make sure they purchase the optional extension leads, which allow positioning of the control units within the engine bay. Otherwise, the boxes will end up hanging in the wheel arches – don’t attempt to cram them inside the headlight housings! And hats off to Dapper customer support: very responsive indeed. They’re a pleasure to deal with – especially if like me you live in New Zealand, around 11,000 km from Las Vegas as the crow flies.
